Pite Havsbad

There are a lot of things you can do in Pitea, for example visiting our beautiful sea resort Pitea havsbad. Pite Havsbad is full of adventures, capers, fun and cosiness for all the family. Their wide range has something for everyone. Pite Havsbad also have a huge camping (for caravans or tents) and a lot of cottages for rent. At the camping you can go for a nice hot swim in the sea. But you can also try their water park which is inside the round building (look at the picture above).

At the water park there are 5 slides you can choose between. They also have experience showers which surprise you with flavors, colors and temperatures.
You can relax in the sauna or in the bubble pool. And if you get hungry you can fill your energy at the café which serves hot dogs, ice cream, drinks, coffee and cakes as well as beer, wine and cider.

In winter you can take a magnificent tour on their icebreaker Arctic Explorer, it is a guaranteed memory for life. You can also try Ice go-carts, dog teams and snowmobiles.

In summer you can visit the dinosaur land, play paintball, Amusement park, and if that’s not enough you can also play golf, volley ball and street basket. Pite havsbad have a huge playground where every child can have fun together. There are also chances for you to rent popular bikes for 1, 2 or 4 peoples.

Dinner at Pite Havsbad should satisfy everyone’s taste buds and the eye. Their signature is to serve well-cooked, carefully composed food combined with specially selected wine or other suitable drinks. Their aim is to make your visit a culinary experience.

Piteå dansar och ler

With 120,000 visitors Piteå dansar och ler is one of Sweden’s biggest street festivals.

During the festival, you can enjoy food from around the world, ride carousels, visit markets and shows. At night the street is taken over by partygoers, who dance and smile until the sun rises.

Every year a number of famous artists play live on the festival. There are three scenes in the area. This year you can come to Piteå dansar och ler and watch the following artists; Lars Winnerbäck , Kent , The Sounds , Lazee , Oskar Linnros , Dead By April, Helt Off and The bombettes.

Events in Piteå

There are many events in Piteå, and one of them is Piteå summer games.

During the summer, organized one of Sweden's largest soccer cups in Piteå.
The cup is in the end of June to the beginning in July. It is a cup for both girls and boys aged 8-15. There are teams from 20 different nations who play football for a weekend in Piteå, including teams from Brazil, USA and Argentina. The law may live in different schools around Piteå, where meals are included.

Cup starts with an opening where the law may participate and walk around town and sing chants cheer. There is also a disco at the weekend for youngsters.

Food in Pite

In Pite we have lots of great restaurants and cafes. Where you can eat everything from coffee, hamburgers, Chinese food, plank steak and potato dumplings in different price rangers.

Piteå´s own local dish is potato dumplings called Palt in Swedish. It looks like a ball and consists of potatoes, wheat flour, salt, water and pork. You eat the potato dumpling with cold milk, butter and lingon berry jam. In Pite there is a restaurant cold “Paltserian” where they are serving potato dumplings in all different ways. We think that potato dumplings are very good. Taste it!
